The story?

Retired Zimbabwean midfielder Willard Katsande amassed an impressive tally of 310 games during his decade-long tenure at the Glamour Boys, winning two DStv Premiership titles before concluding his playing career at Sekhukhune United in 2022.

Katsande, who will be working on achieving his CAF C coaching badges in June, expressed his desire of one day coaching Amakhosi.

Speaking on Marawa Sports Worldwide, the 38-year-old confidently outlined his ambition to coach Kaizer Chiefs within four years, expressing his determination to bring home trophies, including the league title.

When asked by Marawa about his future coaching plans, Katsande affirmed, "Yes, very soon," emphasizing his ongoing pursuit of coaching qualifications and his current involvement with a soccer school as part of his preparation:

"As soon as I finish my qualifications. I am busy with my soccer school now. I’m preparing myself.

"As soon as I’m done with my qualifications, I will do that [coach Kaizer Chiefs] and then go to my national team [Zimbabwe], because I believe I need to give back to my national team," emphasized Katsande.

In response to Marawa's inquiry about his timeline for coaching Kaizer Chiefs, Katsande projected a four-year timeframe, aiming not just to coach, but to lead the team to victory in major competitions, aiming to revolutionize the club's approach and perception.
