Royal AM head coach John Maduka says the team must win their final two DStv Premiership if they aim to avoid the play-offs.

The KwaZulu-Natal side find themselves two-points above the relegation play-off spot with two games play after the defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday night.

The Royal AM tactician says they had introduce a couple players from their Diski Challenge team against recently-crowned champions, but admits their fate is in their own hands.

"It becomes very difficult and again you must check we introduced these boys coming from Diski," Maduka told SuperSport.

"They are still learning, so we have to do with whatever we have, we can't compete with Sundowns, they can use any player on the day and will give a good performance," the Malawian said.

"The boys went there, it's part of learning, they did well.

"Yes, we didn't win the game but they did well, they did try to get that experience. So ja we look forward to the next one, very difficult two games to go.

"It's in our hands, we must win those games for us to be able to survive."

Royal AM will host Chippa United in their final home game on Saturday, before they finish the campaign away to Moroka Swallows the following week.
